I have down loaded style packs from Yamaha and have followed directions however cannot load into my flash drive. when I try to load onto the KB I get a error message saying -Cannot execute quick installation, Install with a full installer (.ppi/.cpi..) I have installed several styles from Yamaha in the past. But I cannot get past this now...I have also down loaded style files from this forum before but the info is not being recognized by the KB  anymore ???? What an I doing wrong I need some help !!! I know someone may have an answer and guide me ...Thank you so much for all that the Forum does already. I've tried both latest versions of Microsoft including V 11 for Microsoft 10/11 same results..... could it be Microsoft security stopping the data from transfering  to the  flash drive??? I am lost...  Happy New Year

update your Yem Manager what keyboard do you have because they should be ppf

When using the YEM you simply need to select Use Full Install rather than the quick install method.

You are also stating that normal style files are not loading — these do not need to go into the YEM, simply save the styles to your USB stick and use them from there. Make sure they as not a ZIP file though.

Hi @Echosmiid,

When you click on "Save as Pack Install File", YEM (Yamaha Expansion Manager) always suggests the CQI (.cqi) "Pack Quick Installation File" file type first. In many cases, however, you need the CPI (.cpi) "Pack Installation File" file type to do a "full installation".

To do this, you just need to switch the file type to be saved to "Pack Installation File (*.cpi)" as described in the post linked below. See also the screenshot there:

By the way, please make sure that you always have the latest YEM version installed (currently V2.11.0).

Hope this helps!

● Never put the Manual too far away: There's more in it than you think! ;-)
