Hi Ken,

For the first (basic) Pack Installation you have to use the .cpi file format (not .cqi).

After clicking the "Save as Pack Install File" button, first change the file type to .cpi.

To do this, in the "Save as Pack Installation File" window, click on "Pack Quick Installation File (*.cqi)" and change it to "Pack Installation File (*.cpi)". Then select your USB stick and click the "Save" button to save the .cpi file onto the stick.

Also see this screenshot:

Hope this helps!

Best regards,
Chris

Thank you I am using a PSR- SX700. I have updated the YEM V2.11.0.....I do not get the window you have provided....that illistrates the way to change *.ext. on YEM.  I chose a Pack from Yamaha and brought it into the YEM pre-chosen and marked by Yamaha as correct for a PSR-sx700. when i choose import Pack it gets imported I have no window or drop down chices to change *.cpf to any other ext. it is only available as a .cpf which does me no good on a flash drive and there is recognition by sx700 when the flash drive. how do I get a YEM that has all options that are required to move data from YEM to SX700 I am absolutely confused....

Hi @Echosmiid,

This "window" is the Save dialog, which you get when you first click on your Install Target (= your keyboard model) and then (after you have ensured that all packs you want to install on your instrument are selected) you click on the "Save as Pack Install File" button.

In THIS Save dialog window you can (and have to) change the file type to .cpi as shown in the screenshot above.

Best regards,
Chris
