Hello,

Does the PSR SX920 have native audio styles, like the S950?

Is it possible to load audio styles copied from another keyboard? How do I do it?

Thank you in advance for your help in answering.

Cheers.

I am not sure, but I don't think so. Audio styles takes a lot of memory and the sample technology is so much better that audio styles are no more necessary to have realistic styles.

The Yamaha audio styles file were useless (they were a one trick pony show) and are no longer used.

This was the Yamaha anouncement for their NEW Audio Styles on PSR-S950:

"Audio Styles take one step further by adding an audio recording of studio drummers, percussionists and percussion ensembles playing in various recording studios from around the world. This adds the natural feel, ambience and warmth to the drum and percussion parts of the Style, giving your performance greater expressive potential. Yamaha Time Stretch Technology allows the audio to follow your tempo changes without changing pitch, so everything stays in perfect sync."

Hi,
You are right Alexandre, here i am giving the Google Drive link of GENOS Audio Styles you may download to use them.
Also i would like to add that the Audio styles for Western beats may not be so interesting but when we make Audio styles in audio phraser especially Indian percussion beats and Middle east beats/rhythms it's amazing.
Hope you will try these styles given in the link.

Hello Samuel,

I tried.
But, unfortunately, all the audio styles did not load into my SX720... : :'(

Any ideas to become these styles recognizable?

Cheers

Hello Alexandre,
I understand that we were in discussion with respect to the topic of PSR SX 920, as the audio styles are compatible only in PSR S 950, PSR S 970 & PSR S 975 - PSR SX 900 & PSR SX 920- GENOS 1 & 2 only.
PSR SX 700 is not compatible to play Audio styles.

Try renaming the extension of the Audiostyle from .aus to .sty (or .psr)

Audiostyles *only* work (ie installable) on s970/975/sx900/sx920/Tyros5/G1/G2. So they won't work on an sx720, no.

On the s970/s975/T5 they had to be installed through YEM, but all the others you can just read off a USB. S950 had the same audio styles built in as s970/s975, but I don't recall being able to install any more.

Audio styles sound *really* good, but like Drake said, they're also a 1 trick pony because they stop sounding good if you slow down the tempo, or speed up too much, and they occupy the 2 channels of audio (so on PSR you can't record audio while playing back an audio style, but you can on T5/G1/G2).

Hi All,
I have been using a lot of Audio styles as i create them in Audio phraser with wave loops. just for information the Audio Styles plays in PSR S 950, PSR S 970 & PSR S 975 directly from USB without installation via expansion pack just by renaming the file extension from *.aus to .sty * it will work.
As for PSR SX 600 SX 700 - SX 720 and other Keyboards like PSR S 770 PSR S 775 the Audio loops can be converted to REX/RX2 and then imported to YEM and use them as Styles -multipads just like the inbuilt Styles -multipads and also record them in MIDI format. you can find more details in youTube Also these topics were discussed in this forum long back

I agree with Marc (Amwilburn), audiostyles do sound really good since they are not using individual drumkit samples but instead have the whole drum track as one audio recording. As long as you do not change the tempo too much, it still sounds very nice. I downloaded the 40 Tyros 5 audio styles from the Yamaha site and they all sound wonderful on the SX900. The styles are loaded in user or usb memory so they don't use any expansion memory. Using Audio phrase seems interesting but I did not give it a try yet.
