Hi Guys

I'm using a dual pedal to turn off/on my harmony/echo button and to turn text song pages. All works OK but I have just one question!!

if I set up my pedal under "controllers" and then hit the memory button and then Reg button 1 my registration is saved right? When I power up again to use the keyboard next all I do is press Reg 1 and it goes from blue to orange and if I check the controller tab the previous footswitch settings come up nicely. At this stage the Reg1 button is still orange but when I select a style to play the Reg1 light goes back to blue! However if I check the controllers tab they still are correct even though Reg 1 is now blue. Is this correct ?? Even if I press an OTS  button the orange light goes back to blue BUT the pedal assignments still work!! Is Reg1 supposed to go back to blue or stay orange???

Yes, that is how it works. It ought to stay on.

I use my STD-DUET vocal harmony registration setup 90% of the time. But each time I select a new song style, the Light goes out. Because the light goes out, I don't know if it is set with my voice set solo or with harmony on it. I have to tap the #7 on the registration to be sure before starting the next song.

After 11 years of having to do that, I completely wore out my #7 and #8 registration buttons on my S950 keyboard.

Thanks Drake

the setup on Registration Button 1 is so I only have the pedal ticked but when I play my first style or choose an intro it goes blue BUT it doesn't go back to the default pedal settings until I power down. It still seems to keep the pedal setting even when button 1 is blue. I will actually try it tomorrow and turn the keyboard on, hit Button 1 to set the pedal assignments and then play half a dozen songs and see if the pedal stays assigned.  I don't think it's got anything to do with the freeze function (or has it)

Registrations are my cross to bear sometimes!!

Hi Chris,

Once you set a pedal setting or vocal harmony that setting will stay until changed. That can be done manually and by a registration bank Where you saved such settings. So choosing just another style or OTS etc. wil never change the pedal and vocal harmony settings simply because style/ots etc do not contain commands to do so. It is normal that the registraton bank light changes color when you choose an OTS setting or style since you then activate another button or option on your keyboard,

Peter

Great!! I was actually surprised that you couldn't assign settings to each pedal and simply save them ..seems an awful waste of a registration to me ..but alas there is not save option for controllers unless I'm missing something.

The standard to solution to this issue is to create a setup registration to set the keyboard the way you want (pedals, vocal harmony, microphone, etc.). You load this registration every time to power up.

When my keyboard boots up the ACMP, OTS link and auto fill default to off so I might as well set those with the registration 1 button .. Does the item to be set up have to be in the checklist to be activated on pressing the reg1 button??

As long as you check the Style box, those items will be memorized.

You also need style checked in order to save the left voice.

The pedal assignments *are* saved (from turning off and back on) in the Genos1 & 2, as well as the PSRsx series. The T4's just a little before that time, unfortunately.
