HI, I wonder how to get a voice list for my Tyros4 to go with Midi to Style program to make Styles sounding good for my keyboard.
I have looked on the Yamaha site but no luck. I got the Tyros5 voice list that start like this:

[midi song to style parse file]
[parser version 0001]
[comment] Created by Maties Valentin
[device manufacturer] Yamaha
[device name] Yamaha Tyros5
[script name] Yamaha Tyros5 VOICES
[script version] 1

[define patchnames]

[mode] Tyros5 VOICES

[g1]T5
[g2]Piano
[p3,0,0,122]S.Art! ConcertGrand
[p3,0,104,11]S.Art! PopGrand
[p3,0,104,10]S.Art! RockPiano
[p3,0,104,9]S.Art! AmbientPiano
[p3,3,104,1]S.Art! CocktailPiano

the it goes on with all the voices.... I need something like that.
Or if there is a way to make it myself.
Thank you for your patience.

I have an INS-file that seems to be valid for all Tyros.
You can download it here:

Hi wersianer,

The .ins file you linked is a Cakewalk Instrument Info file, used for e.g. for the PSRUTI program.

Unfortunately this file type will not work for the purpose described by Aldus, i.e. with the Yamaha "Midi Song to Style" program, because this  program uses .txt files that are based on the Cubase Patchname Script syntax.

Chris

I have the Tyros 4 Voice List in PDF format, but I have no idea how to post it on this site?

I also have:-

T4 Data List
T4 Owners Manual
T4 Reference Manual
T4 Service Manual
T4 Parts List
Tyros 2, Tyros 4, Nektar Impact LX25+, Orion Platinum, Samplitude Music Studio, Various VST instruments, Reaper, Goldwave and good old XG Works

I play the music, but the Cat plays the strings.

Hi! Thanks to all of you in trying to help but as "overover" has said, what I need is a .txt file to feed to the program Midi to Style in order to make a style from the midi file. Thanks anyway....
Regards to all of you.

Hi Aldus

Unless you want to sit down and copy all the parameters into a script text file  a better option is to use Jorgen's software ..it's complex but very good   http://www.jososoft.dk/yamaha/software/midi2style/ and you can select your T4 as the target instrument. I only wish there was a video in English  . He has tutorials in German and Croatian I believe

Welcome to the PSR Tutorial Forum, @black eagles, and thank you for providing this link! This is the file @aldus51 is looking for.

By the way, this Tyros4 Voice List file for the Yamaha "Midi Song to Style" program was created by our forum member Vali ( @valimaties ). :)

Hello,

i have seen there is the possibility at EDIT => Import Voice List.

- When I do it, how can I go back to the voice list for Genos or Genos 2?
- Where can I see, which voice list is uploaded in the program?

Best regards
Ronny

Hello,

To go back to another voice list such as genos, you just need to re-import the voice list of that keyboard. I don't think there is an indication of which list is currently loaded. I guess the idea is that you load the list for your keyboard and then normally you don't change this anymore.

If you want to have an indication of which voice list is currently active, you can adapt the labels in the voice lists of the keyboards that you use. For instance, change "[g1]Piano&E.Piano" into "[g1]Piano&E.Piano Tyros4" in the Tyros4 list and into "[g1]Piano&E.Piano genos" in the genos list. In the DetailEdit window, under "Voice name", if you change a voice and you go to the top of the list (where the list of pianos is shown), you will for each piano voice see "Piano&E.Piano Tyros4" or "[g1]Piano&E.Piano genos" depending on which list was last imported. You can do this for the other instruments categories as well if you want (I only do it for the pianos).
