I have downloaded the play list on to a USB stick. I first place the whole folder in the root but when I opened the Country folder I only saw a Title "CountyPlaylistSX920". Tapping it, did nothing.

I then moved just the Country folder to the root. Keyboard found the LIST of Country rgt. However when tapping LOAD any of the titles there is an error message stating the "File Not Found".   What am I missing?

I can see the RGT files if I use the Registration Link found in the upper left corner of the Main Screen. I can tap on the RGT for the song there and it loads.

Forget these RGT files ... these dare things changed my Fingering selection.

It's easy to maintain your Fingering selection. Just set it in Parameter Lock (in Utilities). Once set, no registration will ever change it.

Here's my video on how to download a Yamaha playlist: https://youtu.be/R-b6S8LBe7g?si=anQv0EyYLRsS19CN

Hi Drake,

In addition to Fred's comments: The current Fingering is always automatically memorized in registrations. To avoid your preferred fingering being changed by registrations that you did not create yourself, please go to "Menu > Utility > Parameter Lock", tick the "Fingering" box and leave this display with EXIT or the X icon.

The fingering can then only be changed directly in the Fingering display, but no longer by Registrations.

By the way, after unpacking the zip file "BonusPlaylistForPSR-SX920.zip" you will get the folder "BonusPlaylistForPSR-SX920". This folder contains another folder "PlaylistForPSR-SX920" and a "ReadMe.txt" file.

Please only copy the folder "PlaylistForPSR-SX920" to the root of the USB stick. To check, please open this folder on the stick. The 16 Genre folders must be located directly in it.

Each of these 16 Genre folders contains a .tsv Playlist file (and of course the relevant Registration Bank files). I recommend copying these 16 .tsv files outside of these folders (i.e. directly into the folder "PlaylistForPSR-SX920"). This way you will have direct access to all 16 playlists later without always having to go to the relevant Genre folder.

It is also important that the USB stick with the Bonus Playlist is recognized as "USB1". It is therefore best to only connect this one stick. Then the individual playlists should work.

Hope this helps!

Best regards,
Chris
● Everyone kept saying "That won't work!" - Then someone came along who didn't know that, and - just did it.
● Never put the Manual too far away: There's more in it than you think! ;-)

Thank you Fred and Chris

I am trying to create a new custom song style with the SX920 this morning. Things are going pretty good so far. I know this SX920 will do what my S950 keyboard can do, I just have to learn where, what and how the new screens work.

I think I locked the fingering but haven't checked it for sure. I had already deleted those RGT files.

I think I can get the RTG files to do most of what the MF did for me. I was just taking a break and thought I would check out the Playlist and how to use it. But I am going to put off learning that for a bit longer.

Drake,
I've had the SX900 for three years and have never used the Playlist.
I might be missing out on something but I use registrations only.
However I'm open to trying out Playlist, and may start to experiment to see if it's faster and more organized than Registration Folders only.
Have fun with the SX920. Once you get the navigation down, you'll never want to go back back to the old style buttons.
