Hi, my DGX 670 arrived today. In hooking up the external speakers with a 1/4" y cable to my 2 external studio monitors it became apparent that in doing so In;ost  the sounds that would have come from the keyboard itself. I assume that is because the 1/4" went into the phone jack.

Is that it then no sound from keyboard when using external speakers ? Hopefully that is not the case.Any advice happy to hear it

thank you,'Tully

Hi @Tully,

There is an easy way to ensure that the internal speakers on the DGX-670 are not switched off when a plug is connected to the PHONES/OUTPUT jack:

Go to "MENU > Utility > Config1 > 1 Speaker" and select "On" instead of "Headphone Switch". Then press the "EXIT" button to close this display. The changed setting is automatically saved. Here is a screenshot of the Speaker display mentioned:

Please also see page 87 (section "Menu > Utility") in the DGX-670 Reference Manual. If you don't have this manual yet, you can download it here:

● Everyone kept saying "That won't work!" - Then someone came along who didn't know that, and - just did it.
● Never put the Manual too far away: There's more in it than you think! ;-)
