Hey Luis,
Thanks for pointing this one out! That was fascinating.

The guy is Daniel Fisher, Director of Product optimization at Sweetwater, and a very accomplished musician on synths.
Here's another video of his on how to play a Harmonica on the keyboard:    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NOLNg0tl9KI

If you like his work, just do a search on YouTube itself, he has literally dozens of videos on using synths.  LOL, wish he did some explanations of Arrangers! :D

glad you enjoyed it.

Actually, I just got Sweetwater's newsletter and they mentioned they were discussing what videos to create next.  I sent an email to the editor, and he responded they would add your suggestion to the list.

If you are inspired to, another email to suggest/request may be useful.   PM me if you want the editor's direct email.

Paolo of Synthmania also has very good advice on playing not just guitar but other instruments on keyboard. Basically it all amounts to considering and imitating the range, note spacing/reach, and techniques used on each instrument. E.g. articulating/arpeggiating chords slightly to imitate a strum on instruments like guitar or harp, using much wider spacing of notes within chords than piano to imitate the tuning of guitar strings, etc. There are always limits but small changes make a big difference in how realistic it sounds. Same of course goes in reverse when using a guitar as a synth to play keyboard sounds.

You can find timestamp links for various instruments in the description:
Acoustic guitar - 0:44
Banjo - 6:39
Orchestral Strings - 9:45
Choir - 13:06
Flute - 15:17
Saxophone - 17:32
Trumpet - 20:14
Harp - 22:33
Marimba - 25:20
Electric Bass - 26:49

I agree for playing the guitar you should LIMIT the range to "1".

For me however this method is not realistic for playing solo live and using various style Mains and singing plus turning your harmony on and off. Don Mason was the best at showing you how to do it all I thought. I just wish there were lots of his videos on YouTube.

Here is Larry Levin's demo which is a much better demo for actually showing someone playing the guitar live on an arranger:

Glad to have started this thread.  I've learned a lot from this forum, so this was my first chance to give back.
