Changing instruments on MIDI songs?

I'm at a bit of a loss here, even after checking the manual. Got many MIDI files I'd like to edit on the G2, hoever I cannot find in the editing section how to do this.

I tap on the instrument icon and all I get is keyboard parts, and arranger rhythm parts, not the MIDI parts in the file.

Is there a tutorial on this somewhere?
