Hello Genos2 owners,

is it now possible, that you can display at the external monitor the scores and at the Genos2 screen you display the Genos 2 functions

What i mean is: Do you can display 2 independant contents at both displays, especially the scores.

Best regards
Ronny

Hi Ronnie,

Have a look at monitors that have a PIP (Picture in Picture) feature. I used to have a Samsung 24" a long time ago and the PIP sizing was adjustable. It was quite expensive at the time. An issue that I had was the relative size of each screen as they are obviously a lot smaller and this was one of the reasons that pushed me away from it. In your case you might want a score as an A4 portrait and the Genos in landscape, but that might not fit so well alongside or in the same orientation....something to think about. A couple of screen & score prints and down to your local shop might be something you really want to do before you try. I used to do cardboard cutouts before deciding on the size of TV for my lounge :) Anyway, you might also want to consider two smaller screens.
Hope this helps

The screen on the Genos 2 can have a normal display and the external monitor shows the result. You should enable lyrics/text in the options. If you are still using a tablet, it can display PDF, Text, Word .... Watch the video.

It just looks like that because I described two options. All you need is an external monitor that you connect to the Genos with an HDMI cable and set the settings to Lyrisc/Text. That's all and you'll see the notes on the external screen.

Hi Ckobu

It is rather a pain that the PDF files cannot be read on such an instrument as the Genos2, but as you say,
a Tablet or a laptop can get around the problem.
It would be nice for Yamaha to implement PDF's to be read as there would be less electrical clutter ;D

From a technical point of view, I think the built-in display is too small and has a too low of a resolution to be able to display PDFs. And Yamaha would have to code a PDF viewer, not a trivial task.
