Greetings

I've been watching a lot of Genos2 tutorials lately. I'm trying to explain arrangers to a few friends and also trying to teach a few forum members how to better play their keyboards. I'm looking for tutorials that are easy, if not fun to watch, but not to boring.

Leave it to our friend Woody of Woody's Piano Shack.  I love this guy and his videos. He is always so upbeat.  I try to watch all his stuff, even stuff that's not Yamaha. This video is a few months old and he plays the Genos2. What he shows on the Genos 2 is also perfectly relevant for Genos1 and Tyros models. And the newer PSR's too. I'm gonna recommend this video to my friends.

Did you know that you can select any or all multipad buttons and have them synchro start with your style? I didn't!!  The select button to the left of the multipad buttons says "synchro start" below the key to set them to do that. Don't think I will use this function as I very seldom play multipads. But I know others who use them all the time.  Later...........  -charley

Thanks for this Charley.
Yes, Woody is very watchable, and I have learned a great deal from watching his videos.

On the subject of Multipads, I've often wondered if it's possible to 'lock'  them so that instead of them playing for say 3 seconds and then requiring a further button press, enabling them for a longer time? Obviously not to overuse them, but sometimes just to enhance the melody a little longer.

  • Select the Multi Pad Bank
  • [MENU] > [M.Pad Creator] > [MIDI Multi Pad Recording]
  • Set "Repeat" to "On" for the pad(s) you want to
  • Save the Multi Pad Bank

Thanks Kurt.
That's another bit of info for my little 'How To' book.

Hello,

Just for your information: this doesn't work with audio-multipads.
