Hello, I like to know if it is possible to convert T5 styles so I can use them on my PSR3000. I tried style format 2 converter. But I get the message "no casm section to convert". Is a program existing to do so, or should I stop trying.

Greetings from The Netherlands,  Henk

Henk,

I downloaded the T5 Ballad styles: https://psrtutorial.com/styles/tyros-5/Ballad.zip
I unzipped the downloaded file and converted the 70sCoolBallad style as a test.
It worked like a charm.

On Brian Miles' page you will also find 491 styles that have already been converted from T5 to SFF1. After some adjustment, they should also work on the PSR-3000.

Yes you would be wasting your time but your are going to try it anyway. ;D

Here are 532 of SFF2 styles I spent converting to use in my PSR 2000 keyboard years ago. Try them out and see how well they came out.

The issue you will run into with the T5 styles after you convert them to SFF1, all the MEGA voices that you will have to search older styles to replace that part of the style or record into the style that part using the Style Creator program. The MEGA voices will not work in the SFF1 older keyboards.

Yup!

acoustic guitars: Steel string (6 and 12 string, and a hi string option, but no nylon)
Electric guitars (overdrive, Distorition, clean, but *no* solid clean)
Bass (Electric only. No acoustic upright megavoices)
No string, trumpet, brass ensemble megavoices.

The PSR3000 was the same exact sound library as Tyros 1 (which of course, severely cut into sales of T1 once PSR3000 was released); Yamaha never did that again. (T2 > PSRs900, T3 > PSRs910... in fact PSRs910 was essnetially T2; T4> PSRs950, but even T3 >PSRs950 except they added the Real Drum Kit and Real Brush kit... but in mono! T5> PSRsx900 except they added revo compatible live drums to PSRsx900. So yes, I'm also assuming the PSRsx1000 (or sx925 or sx950 or whatever they call it) will be based on the Genos, but missing all the S.Art2 sounds.

Interestingly, Korg *does* use the same sound library across TOTLA and the entry level pro; the PA4x, PA1000 and PA700 all share the same chipset and sound libraries. Unknown if they'll do the same with PA5x moving forward, but I assumed that they would, and that the future PA1100//PA850 (they can't call it PA800 because they've already used that name) would also share the same PA5x chipset (but with built in speakers, and *much* cheapter feeling keys)
