Thank you for yr welcome messages.  I'm not sure if this appropriate as I'm not that technical as I'm 75 years old but live my keyboard especially 60 music.  I'm trying hard to find a good registration for Billy Fury's I'll never find another you.  I think I've got it then go back to play after a break and it just isn't right .  If anyone has any suggestions that would be great
Thank you Jenz

You won't typically find a registration, as they are keyboard specific.

However, you should be able to find a style, from which you can make your own registration.

So search for the style, or ask fir it here in the Styles/OTS board.

Cheers,
Fred

Thanks Fred I've been experimenting with Latin, Pop & Rock and R&B but nothing is " quite" right.  I'm not a fan of the Ots as they are pretty bad on the sx900.
Guess I'll keep chipping away.  Appreciate you replying.

OTS voices can't be bad or good -it only depends on if you like default OTS or not (for particular song you wish to play).
But then, it doesn't matter if you like them or not. The idea is, that you change them to your liking.

Hi Fred,
I have been watching most of your videos regarding registrations.  Thank you for that.
We managed to do some registering on our PSR 3000 with some success without really understanding the procedure.   We started with a USB thumb drive connected containing several midi files. After we started with a clean registration according to your recommendation we would load one midi file to the keyboard and adjust some parameters and then do "memory, checked all the boxes, then - button 1".  Named it as a song and saved it to the user program.  We did this again and named the second song, #2.  We managed another ten or so midi files and saved then to the user program as well.   So, we were able to recall each song with its saved parameters and play along.  But, if we remove the USB and try to play the registration files on the user program, they won't play.  I'm sure we haven't understood all the details of registering and we could use some help.  Thanks,

Fred Smith

As you said, your midi files are on the USB. If you remove the USB, how do you expect the registration to find the file? You need to leave the USB stick in for your registration to work.

Note 1: Please don't hijacker's threads. If you have a new topic, start a new thread.

Note 2: I'm not a fan of checking all the Memory boxes. Check only those that you want the registration to remember.

Cheers,
Fred

My apologies for not realizing I was hijacking.  Just looking for help.
   Sorry, it won't happen again.

If you want your registrations to work solely from the User drive, you need to copy all the files that the registration is looking for. In your case, you would copy the midi files to the User drive, then re-memorize your registrations. Then the registration will work without the USB stick.
