Hi
It is a revelation to me!! ;D

I cannot find the revelation effect unit
I may be having a blond moment , but where is it?? ::)

I tap on the effects and look down the list and then REVERB , but it is not in the list.

If i just use the first piano sound the Grand the normal effects are there but no mention of this new Revelation.

Am i a guinea pig??

All the best
John

Hi John, you should find them under  <MIXER> <Effect type (Chorus/Reverb> as described ?? See Yamaha Global Revelation?  ;)
Are you sure you are behind a G2  ;D ;D ;D
My best regards,
Ton

Hi
Yes i am getting frustrated about this
I went to mixer and then reverb pressed on one of the effects ,press reverb and the list is the same as  Genos 1
Nothing about global revelation
I go to voices also and select an effect , look at list and choose reverb. Same again ,just the normal variations of reverb

Under MIXER you find a tab called Chorus/Reverb, select this one and you will see on the line REVERB (at the right side) a selectbox showing a reverb name.
In the selection popups there are 4 pages of REVelation reverbs.

I guess this means that the REV effects are only available within the dedicated global reverb block, as opposed to being usable as an insertion effect.

Hi Derek

It looks that way at the moment but i have not got down to the brass tacks of it all yet.
I got the keyboard yesterday after a horrid day of weather and driving to collect it.
But what a did do playing with the Revelation made the sound as though it is a universe away from Genos 1
Tonight i will have a good go at Revelation  as been out for lunch  and still have to watch football tonight, Accrington Stanley v Swindon Town. I am a Swindon man time is short today.
The trouble being 72 everything seems to speed up ::) ;D

I havent got mine yet, but I gather from info I've gathered is that it is a global setting and is applied to style parts too, this is to the room/hall acoustics chosen.
Cheers

Hi Derek

Watch this video , it explains it all for REVelation. This is quite a big URL.Just click on it and all will be revealed.

https://www.google.com/search?q=revelation+on+genos+2

When i get the EQ right and sort this Revelation out ,i will be trucking. All takes a little time. :)

Edit by overover: Shortened Google url and corrected spelling of "REVelation"

Hi Derek

It may be global but you can have whatever part you want and turn to zero :)

It is pretty frustrating that REV-reverbs only can bo chosen on the global reverb. I allays make my own set-ups on microphone/vocal harm. og put my effect on the mike there, and turn it down on global reverb. That way I have control over my reverb on mike, and not being addicted to random reverb from style to style.

Could there be a change that this will chance in an Up-date?

Hello!

I seem to remember some of the first posts about Genos 2 and REVOlution Reverb. The post talked about how that reverb is automatically applied. Are there other parameters to set?  -charley

JohnS (Ugawoga)

Hi
Once you choose MIXER then Chorus / reverb

You can adjust each channel with the Global REvelation.
You can bring each channel down to 0 and just have the channels you want reverb on.
