Morning all, Thomann seem to be offering the G2 for the best price on the market at present and as UK buyer I'm tempted to pull the trigger and order (price is £4444 delivered) and have the G2 in stock for delivery later this week. The price undercuts Bonners, Epianos and AC hamilton by £500.

Does anyone have any experience ordering from Thomann, I'm aware they are based in Germany ?

Or any UK retailers that could price match ?

Cheers all

Always found Thomann totally reliable. However, I haven't used them since Brexit, so I'm not sure if the price you see on their site will be the price you end up paying. I know they include VAT (presumably at the German rate) but not sure whether there are any customs duties to be paid on top of that. They do have an English speaking helpline though so why not give them a call?

The only other thing I'd say is that the power cable you receive is likely to be a European one, but being as Genos uses a standard IEC power lead there's no issue with using one you might already have or scoring one from Amazon for a couple of quid.

Hi andy0140,

Yes I have used them before, I haven't bought a keyboard from there but purchased a lot of software for my Ketron from them and I had no probs. In fact, one of the pen drives was faulty and they replaced it without any charge, the service was excellent.

Hi Andy
I have paid more at Epiano's Banbury because if things go wrong they are close at hand.
I thought about Thomann but if things after a year go wrong who pays the shipping cost as i believe they are in Gemany.
I have purchased things like headphones from them and no problems,so who knows .
I suppose i am looking at the What If mode :) I always like to purchase electrical items of value close to home.It can save a lot of bother.

All the Best

Hi

Seems like no adjustment to VAT charges for UK buyers.

Also 30 day returns charges are covered by Thomann.

Thanks all, have been chatting to the team at A&C Hamilton today who are pretty much matching Thomann's price, albeit it with a slightly longer lead time for delivery, Ive used A&C before and they are excellent, so will be going with them...Hopefully Santa can come a bit early !

I've pretty much used nearly all of the top dealers in the UK at one time or another (including A&C), and even though I do have a primary "go to", I've never had an issue with any of them at all and all have been brilliant in one way or another.

You can get a slightly better price in the UK at DV247 (in stock at £4361 with free delivery and shipping), who have a store located at Romford in Es***. I bought my Tyros5 from them way back in 2015.

DV247 (originally Digital Village) are affiliated with Music Store in Germany. Although the product will be shipped directly to you from the Music Store central warehouse in Cologne, in the UK you are in fact dealing with DV247, so if there are any issues you contact the sales team at DV247 in Es***.

Here in the Netherlands the price is between 4.750 and 4.999 euro. And than a could talk or trade in your old Genos can lower the price to around 4.000 euro.

Blimey you are correct!!  :o How much do these companies actually get them in for? That's the cheapest I've seen for sure.

musicman100

Even cheaper if you live in Portugal. I wonder if it worth taking a cheap flight and coming back with one?

They only ship to Portugal!!
