Darn it, teaching at 5.00 on that old has-been, the Genos (1)!

I've no doubt it will be on the 'tube later, so I'll catch up when I've finished teaching.
It's not what you play, it's not how you play. It's the fact that you're playing that counts.

I hope that all of the official demos use a sound man, who knows his stuff.  Maybe they'll take the audio tracks directly for broadcast, rather than miking a PA system, which brings in all kinds of ambient noise.  I want all the nuances of the voices and styles.

JohnS (Ugawoga)

Hi Larry
They will always tart things up a bit with effects etc, but things do depend on your sound system. :)
I found transitioning from Tyros 5 to The Genos frustrating as The Tyros sound and recording was pretty quick to get top results.
With the Genos a lot more fiddling.
After getting used to all the fiddling, the Genos comes alive and now i will never look back.
Do not get me wrong the Tyros 5 is a great instrument as it put you in the ballpark a little quicker  :)with results

Friends,
In India now it's already 5 pm, but on the video it's showing live in 5 hours at 10.30 pm.

Hi Sunny,

5 pm in the UK (GMT) is 10:30 pm in India (IST), a five-and-a-half-hour time difference.

The countdown says 5 hours 17 minutes right now

That would make it 6pm UK time, not 5pm

I think they have made a mistake in their code.

First I waited till the countdown is over, now I'm waiting when the translation will start on YouTube. Did I miss something or you also got the impression "come back later"?

Des O

As of now it is 14.13pm UK time, the count down says live in 3 hours 46mins. Thats 6pm (CET) European time, please adjust for your timezone. For the UK here its 5pm.

Des O

Please remember to sign up for it by giving them your email. Yamaha will send you the link personally to watch just in case you cannot access via other means.

Well ... it now says 3 hours 18 mins. That takes you to 6pm UK time, which is 7pm CET.

It's fine to say the launch is 6pm CET, and adjust for local timezone, but their countdown clock is one hour out. When the launch happens at 6pm CET, the clock will still say 1 hour to go.

Go to Yamaha Music Europe YouTube site, it's there now counting down and will be live wherever you may be.
There is already a crowd waiting in the chat.
