In a discussion thread dedicated to Yamaha, discussions on the Korg took place.

They are very interesting except for those who do not have an arranger of this brand, either the latest model or the previous ones.

Rather than associating these discussions with the new Genos thread, I suggest that it might be wise to open a thread reserved for Korg in which case, everyone would know what they are talking about and the discussions on the subject would be constructive.

That's probably not going to happen. Allowing some limited info or discussion on other brands is ok. But we don't want to invite it, because then it can get out of hand. It is something we have carefully avoided since this forum began.

I think the prominent number 2 is a big clue that this is definitely the Genos 2.

So now we enter into the teaser stage of the new Genos II release. I'm lovin it!

Some random thoughts about Genos II.

It's been 7 years since the last release.  5 or 6 years ago......Did Yamaha already have a new Genos ready? Has it been sitting around waiting?  Nobody, including Yamaha, expected the world's economy, health, and disasters to influence release dates of big ticket items.  Will I be buying 5 - 7yr old technology,  or has Yamaha maybe re-explored Genos II more recently.  Technology changes a lot in 2 years!! 

I played my Genos for hours earlier tonight.  Tonight felt a bit different as I listened to its harmonious sounds.  How could the next model possibly sound any better?   I've been around here long enough to remember thinking that exact thought on all my previous keyboards.  And Yamaha never disappoints......................... -charley

Genos 1 to Genos 2.
Will it be a personal record, a world record or a olympic record.
I hope a olympic record, but expect a world record. I will be disappointed if it is only a personal record
