Hello!

If I have styles other than the internal ones that do not have OTS (OTS1-4 do not light up when loading the style), how can I cause these styles to be "prepared" for OTS, and then make the appropriate OTS settings and then to be able to save the style including the  new OTS  permanently?

Am I correct in assuming that the OTS are content of the respective style and have nothing to do with registrations?

You are correct: OTS settings are saved in the style.
For example, set OTS-1 to your liking: which voices should be used  for R1,R2,R3,L and which of them should be active. At this point, you can also edit the voices to your liking (effects, etc). When you're done, press MEMORY button and after that (by ignoring the shown options), press OTS-1 button. Now you'll be asked into what style you wish to save that particular OTS. And that's it. Same procedure for OTS-2,OTS-3 and OTS-4.

Hi --

I use Jørgen Sørensen's OTS Editor:

http://www.jososoft.dk/yamaha/
http://www.jososoft.dk/yamaha/software/software.htm

The OTS Editor lets you create new OTS data if none exists and it lets you copy OTS data from existing styles.

Hope this suggestion helps -- pj
