They All Sound (Almost) The Same

I have been experimenting with the Vocal Harmony feature of my Genos lately.

I tried all of the presets, but despite the varied descriptions of them in the Data List PDF, they all sounded very similar to me.

Then I tried altering these settings: Type, Session Table, and (in Microphone Settings) Pitch Detect/Voice Range.

Through all the settings I have tried, everything still sounded very similar. I would be hard-pressed to choose any particular vocal harmony setting as "the best."

Is this just the way things are with vocal harmony on the Genos? Or am I missing something fundamental? (I hope it's the latter.)

There a lot of different setting for the type of music you sing. I am country, oldies rock n roll and early pop for the most part.

Pretty much just started off using the Std-Duet voicing with just ONE back singer add to my voice.
Then added a second for some songs BUT then you can also move around the other 2 singers. You can have ONE above your voice pitch and the other below your voice. You can have both of them ABOVE your voice pitch.

Then you can have you with different amounts of REVERB. I use 17%, 24%, 40%, 50% and even 80% for Heartbreak Hotel.

There is a male to female setting I use for the song Jackson for doing both Johnny and June
I have special setup for each of the groups: The Beatles, The Beachboys, Alabama and Midland (for example).

There is one setup that I use for "Beer Never Broke My Heart" which has one of the newer distortion sounds needed for the song.

Morrie Reece has 2 videos that can help to tweak up whateve you might need.

You can also check out my YouTube channel for the various settings I have used and posted so far. That's why it's posted there, if you got a question, just ask what I did.
