Hi
Cubase 12 out now
I will hold back for a few weeks as people are having teething troubles.
Main improvement is Vary - audio where it is so easy to correct pitch of voice and also create harmonies/scales. I am not a singer ,so not much use to me!! ;D
Also you can now use various Controllers which Cubase will automatically find functions. Not much use to me as i have a CC121 controller. The functions are already there.
it will be great for soft synths as you can easily map the functions now. This is done on a Layout sheet which you can make it nearly look like the synth knobs and sliders on your VST..
A useful more precise fade in and out options.
Not much improvement for Genos owners though. ok for VST.
This what i have learn't tonight, i will go deeper tomorrow.

I have moved to Cubase 12 Pro and it's awesome. However, there are plenty of functions that i need to study because the software is very deep. If you plan to use all the functions you need to read a lot and it's not made for beginners or novices...I mainly use it for style creation, midi songs and one or two covers. I have a lot of vsts as well but to be honest it's too much for what i need. On the other hand it is a very powerful software that i'd like to know better.

Luis.

Hi and thanks for posting. I have been watching videos on midi editing and the general consensus is that Cubase is the gold standard. I am DAW poor (Studio One, Logic, Reaper, etc.) so the thought of getting another DAW makes my wallet cringe. They have a version of Cubase called Cubase Elements that is only $99 US but I am wondering if it has all of the midi editing capability as its big brothers Cubase Artist and Cubase Pro. The website lists the following midi effects that Pro and Artist have but Elements does not. I don't know what any of them do. Can anyone tell me if these midi effects are what make Cubase the king of Midi Editors?  Thanks

This manual has the descriptions you're looking for.

Cubase has an enormous number of features. It's possible that no living human has explored them all.

Hi Michael and thanks very much for the link to the manual.

As far I seen cubase 12 has some improvements in regards to speed and other minor things.

The chord recognition is something nice too.
