Mono instead of stereo question

Hi All, I have been using my Genos in stereo through QSC K10.1 speakers but I have taken advice from our friend Gary (Travelling Easy) to move from standard speakers to line/array speaker and mix into mono. There are two reasons for this, firstly to save weight and amount of equipment I carry and secondly to follow Gary's advice that stereo is not worth having in a live environment.
I have purchased a HK Audio Polar10 line/array speaker because of it's great spec and low price (£579). It has a 2000k amp and an SPD of 126db.
My question is should I just take a line output from the Genos L/R line out or seeing as I have 2 line inputs on the Polar10 should I use line out L  from the Genos into 1 input on the Polar10 and the R output from the Genos into the other?
Any help will be appreciated

The L/R output will work just fine and is the same I use on my S-950 with great success.

Thank you Gary and Toril, I tried it last night in a small club doing what you said and it worked just fine. It was positioned just to the left behind me and I had no feedback. It was wonderful to be able to hear everything as the audience heard it. Many thanks to you both, you are good people   :)
Now does anyone want a pair of well looked after QSC K10.1 speakers including Gator tote bags and a pair of heavy duty steel poles?
