I have the following question :

How to transpose WAV/MP3 files and convert them into midi multipads ( wishful thinking ?  ??? ) in the SX700 ?

I have uploaded an MP3 example here :

Your step by step instructions would be very much appreciated.

Thank you in advance for helping me out.

Best regards, Babette

You can NOT make even a half decent midi from a wav or mp3 file. Don't even try the free or paid programs, a total waste of time. The other way around midi to wav or mp3 yes you can. This has been discussed many times before on this forum and there are several programs to do so.
I tried to make midis from wav's over the years and so did many others but it simply doesn't work. Wav and MP3 are soundfiles, music, and midi is digits, computer-language so to speak.

Hi

Wav and mp3 are like dishes at a reastaurant...
MIDI is the reciepe in the restaurant kitchen...

Sorry, you can not create a reciepe from a dish... it is the "wrong" way of transformation ...

You can transpose a wav or mp3 file
You can use audacity
but don't use to many steps not more than 3
to avoid the micky mouse effect

You can't make a midi pad from it
but you can import it as wave file and make a sample voice from it

Hi Babette,
You can also download riffstation pro from the link that Ruud has posted here:
https://www.psrtutorial.com/forum/index.php/topic,52695.msg411164.html#msg411164

It works fine to transpose just a couple of steps as Janus said.
It will also show the "basic" chords.

As for mp3/wav or whatever audio to midi, don't even bother to search for a program. The results are the least laughable.

For a wav to use it as an audio pad,if it is something "musical"(I mean not thunders, waves, sounds of nature etc)
you have to make sure to adjust it's tempo on the pc to the exact tempo of the style.
If the tempo of the style is e.g 125 (time 125.000)
And the audio song's tempo is e.g 125.305.
You can use a Daw to slightly reset the song's tempo to time 125.000 for this example.

Songs are never at an accurate tempo of 110 or 89 etc
They are 110.563 or 89.068 etc or whatever.
