Hi all,

I am very good in creating & modifying styles. I seriously lack the ability to set-up the vocal effects properly for Monica's voice on my PSR S770.

On the Audya with the AJAMSONIC update, her voice is perfect right out of the default set-up (please listen to attached song). I simply cannot avhieve same on my Yamaha.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Kind regards,

Henni

Here is the same song on the Yamaha - results very, very bad. What am I doing wrong?

You are doing NOTHING wrong, Henni.
The S770 vocal quality is not comparable to Audya's super sound.

Have you first turned everything OFF on your VH2 and can get a clear vocal established first?

It sounds like you have a bunch of chorus set up on the vocal.

Yes, I know that as I own one. I want to set up the Mic effects properly. On the Audya it is fine by default, not so on the Yamaha.

My S770 has all the Mic effects of the SX900 except for the VH - listen to the "Get inspired" video posted lately and observe the fantastic Mic effects applied to the female voice as demonstrated (studio quality indeed!!!).

I need to know those parameters so I could re-produce on my S770.

It took more than 12 years before Yamaha were upgrading from VH to VH2.

In the meantime the VH2 is already there for many years.

Some members are looking/asking for a VH3 ( upgrade ).

Maybe, who knows, the Genos2 will bring us the VH3.
Time will tell.

Managed to get it much better - not same as Ketron but MUCH closer this time round. Demos attached.

I agree with Drake, its sounds like there is Chorus or Phaser DSP turned on. Check your DSP settings.

Hi Joe :

You might remember the S770 has no VH(2).
It has a mic input and the traditional fx setup : reverb, chorus, compression and eq.

The Audya 5 has a very nice built-in VH.
The quality of this Ketron VH is superb.
