Does anyone here have any experience with this device? I see that it was available back in 2012.

Unfortunately, I cannot get in touch with "Lothareck's Lair" via email, so I come here for information.

At the very best it was painfully slow to access information. I quickly changed back to the floppy and continued to enjoy the keyboard at it's fullest potential.

Good luck,

I think I'll stay with floppies (now all but defunct). I don't want to pop $125 for a product from Poland that has absolutely no guarantee.
Thank you for your reply. (And it's nice to know that you and a lot of others are still here!)

Skeez !

Amazon will sell you all the 3 1/2 diskettes you want/need.  The only problem is, a box of 10 will cost you $15 to $20 US, depending upon the type and brand.  That is a crime compared to what we were paying for them in their hey-days.  Back then, I was paying $3 for a box of 10 name brands at the big box stores, but then, again, when I bought my first car (a well worn 1954 Ford in 1962) I was making $300 a month as an OEM draftsman in an airconditioning factory, gas was 25 cents a gallon, and when my wife (then girl friend) and I went to the cinema (movies), tickets were a buck apiece.  Ahhh!  Those were the days - - - BUT, so are these ! ! ! !

An emulator that works cost about 30$ US. I have been using one since 2009. Easy to install if you know the difference between a screwdriver and an onion.

I know you have had success with the floppy emulator in your PSR-2000, and have sworn by it, for quite some time.  The one you have is obviously not the one described here by Skeezix.  I also know that you had several posts here that described where to obtain one and how to install it and set it up, but I think all of that info was lost several months ago, when the new server folks decided that any of our archives that were more than 120 days old were yesterday's trash and threw them out.  I would hate to see what those folks would do with a library and a book of matches, but that is another story for another day.  In the meantime, couid you please re-provide us with the info, at least, on where to purchase them?  And by any chance did you save a copy of your instructions on how to install them and set them up?  Any info you could provide would be greatly appreciated.  At the current diskette prices I quoted above, two boxes could more than cover the cost of an emulator.

Many thanks, and I hope all is well down in beautiful Bali!

Regards,

Roy

Yes I do still have the info (however it is 10 years old) but can send it only to people providing me with their email address. The file is much to large to place it on the forum as it has quite a few pictures in it as well.

If people are interested please send me a PM with your email-address and I'm happy to mail it to you.

Thanks, Dick!  Skeezix may want to reconsider his decision to stay with diskettes.

I use floppies on my PSR 2100. But they have become a rare and expensive iten. Had to buy a floppy disk drive too, no PC has it any longer. Amazing how little you could store on them. But I kind of like them anyway. Those were the days :)

Does anyone know this USB floppy disk drive emulator N-Drive from Nalbantov?

https://floppyusbemulator.com/

Skeezix

I have an emulator that has the same front panel as the one at floppyusbemulator.com except it has a three-digit LED instead of a two-digit LED.

And it doesn't do anything except turn on.  :(

See my other message for details.
