Hi

Just a little question

I make a sng in Cubase on the Genos and export to final wave

If I put that on a usb stick and plug it into my Marantz cd player as it has a usb socket and low and behold it cannot play it because it has a header error.
If i convert to mp3 it is fine .

What is a header error ?? and how do you solve it. It plays ok on my computer though
I am trying to hear my music on different scources.

It probably means that the name of the song is too long. Try to change it😀

Hello John,

Maybe your Marantz CD player doesn't support WAV or only a particular WAV version (e.g. 16-bit, 44100Hz)?

Cheers, Roland

Hi Toril
Thanks for your repy butI dont think it is that  but I will try and change the title to a single letter and see if that does It.

Hi Roland
Nice to hear from you as mixing has been a pain ,but now things are looking up
I got the 14 LUFs and all but the mix seems slightly thin.
I keep pecking away at it!!

Yes all compliant with 16bt 44100khz.
It is very annoying as wave files ripped from cd's work.
Also worked with the Tyros 5  and Genos ,but somehow Cubase is not playing ball.
Another thing Roland do you record flat on the genos and flower up In a daw??

All the best
John :)

Roland

Hello John,

Did you check the project settings in Cubase? They may be off compared to what you import. (see Project/Project Setup...)
And while maybe off topic but just quickly here to answer your question: When I record MIDI, I don't care much - I do all the mixing and adjustments in Cubase. When I record audio, then I go out as flat as I can but I adjust the EQ's so instruments I am interested in come out a bit more clear and benefit better from later effects like RoomWorks/Reverance and the like for example.

Great to hear from you too and wish you a fantastic Christmas Season !

Cheers, Roland

Hi John,
A headed is usually instructions that are written at the beginning of a song such as positions and set ups etc.

Hi Eileen
I will look Into Cubase settings .
From what I have read It is said ,put your song Into Audacity and export It out again.
WELL THAT HAS DONE IT !!
The wave file now plays on the hi-fi.

Hi Toril
Yes, Audacity forever.

BUT!! I have to find the right box in Cubase to also solve.
I am getting the hang of mixing now and slowly things are looking up, but I will still have to do a lot of reading.
