Hi all,

I am about to buy a S775 (as close as thinking on ordering it tomorrow  ;D!)

I wonder if there is any S775 user here... All I see is S975 owners and threads  ???

Yes, I know the flagship is better but... do all people really make use of the different characteristics among both models?. Is there such a big difference?. Nobody seems to care of the poor S775

For me it will be more than enough, for sure. But I am wondering why the market (if we can consider this thread as a market indicator) is so polarized to the S975.

Inquiring mind wants to know  ;D !

Nothing to worry about, Jose.
Many people are using the S9xx for giggs because it has onboard speakers and easier to carry than the Tyros.
They also prefer the s975 better than the s775 as long as they are professionals and also because they are singing too.
If you can make money from an instrument,it's easier to invest to the better model
or even if you are an amateur but an experienced player,
you want to upgrate to something better when the time comes.

The most home users on the other hand seems to took the opportunity to buy the s770's that were still availiable in Europe when their price dropped significantly few months ago.

If you have a limited budget, then the S775 is a good choice!

I just bought a 775 about 3 weeks back - just beginning to get familiar with it. I plan to use it for my solo gigs.  The budget issue is real, cost difference between 775 & 975 is significant for semi-professionals like me.

If you are a gigging musician that sings, the S-975 is the route to go. If you are primarily a home player and do not sing, then the S775 is all you really need.

All the best,

I'm one of those who does a lot of vocals, hence, the S975.  Not sure what the other differences might be.  I sold a Tyros 5 to get the S975.  Wonder how many folks might do that?  Never looked back.

Thanks for your comments!  :D

Sorry, I had not updated this thread (perhaps I opened too many, as I had not a clear idea of what to do!)

I ended up buying a Genos. Summing up, my reasoning was that there is only one life to live and, well, if I could afford it, why not?. And I am glad I did, it is a great keyboard  :)
