Hi,
Someone has the cumbia pack and more arranged for PSR-s950 or if not the original for PSR-s070 and try to adapt it myself. Thank you

Al Ram

No, i do not have it.   i wonder if this package also works for Genos as well as the S950 . . . .
I would be interested in getting it.

I have a couple of cumbia styles if you are interested.

Greetings.

The 950 uses YEP files and the 770 uses YEM files. YEP files will not load into 770.

If someone with a S770 keyboard would download this pack and post the styles here in this tread, I might be able to revoice them to work in the S950 keyboard. They would also work in the T5 and Genos as well then too.

https://asia-latinamerica-mea.yamaha.com/en/support/updates/cumbia_pack_66944_en.html

As I recall, I downloaded this pack before and the "Style In YEP Files" program can not open this pack, as Yamaha has change their coding of their YEP packs.

Anybody with a S770 out there who could help us out? ;)

The program can unlock just the styles of the pack and usually 3 of 8 parts need revoicing Drake.
And it cannot open the voices at all.

Al Ram

Thanks for your efforts.

I would be interested in the styles only if that is the case.

thanks.

Styles work fine on my s750 except the revoicing needed for some parts as I have written.

Eileen has already posted above the folder with the styles ready for use.

Jorgen's program is here.

Easy program.
Just download the cumbia s770 zip.
unzip the file with winrar or 7zip or whatever.
Use the "Style In YEP/PPI Files" to open and read the file.
Wait for a couple of minutes untill is done.
You will now have a folder with just the styles in .sty format.

Thanks again Eileen,

I reviewed just the first 10 styles and only a couple voices are missing per style and in several styles nothing was missing but one of the OTS. I ought to be able to use the "Style Revoicer" program and see what the missing voice should be and fine a similar instrument to replace it in each style.

Thank you very much everyone for helping me so fast, fabulous forum!

I have revoiced the 28 Cumbia Latin styles to work in my PSR-S950 keyboard.

Here is a link where they have been posted at the PSRTutorial site:

Yes, these reworked styles will work just fine in your Genos, T5  and S970 and of course the S950 keyboards.

These are all 28 styles that cost 129 usd for the Genos and T5 keyboards. Of course you do not get the add on voices that come with the packs BUT there were only a few styles that use the new voices. At most a style was missing were 3 of the voices and those were easy to figure out what kind of instrument it was. There were 3 styles that used a new drum package and was easily replaced using the latin drummer pack.

Anyway download them and you will enjoy each style's sound and be missing out on pretty much nothing. ;D
