Hi all,

Just got my new Genos today. Very excited about it. I unpacked it, put it on the stand and poked around a bit with some styles and voices.

Lots of new things to learn and good to see a comprehensive list of topics here on PSR Tutorial.

Regards,
Richard.

Congratulations.
Enjoy and have fun, it's really a great keyboard! The best arranger from Yamaha so far...   8)

Don't cut corners on speakers for the Genos. The sound quality is so good that to really appreciate it you'll want the best you can reasonably afford. I already had an old pair of Fostex near field monitors (240w bi-amped each) and hadn't appreciated them until I fed them with the Genos. Spectacular. (IMHO of course)!

Congratulations, Richard. ;D

Wow thanks for the comments folks. Yes Eileen I did do the 1.20 update. Also downloaded some stuff and started reading.

I don't know if I am going to live long enough to do this machine justice.

Regards,
Richard

Recently, I turned 69.  I thought, at my age, I was a bit loco to buy another keyboard.  But what fun!!!

And I FEEL 16 again. ;D

Hey I bought the Genos and i am almost 89 (Come May 5). Not one bit sorry and it certainly does make me feel younger just playing it.  Age is just a number !  Lloyd

Congrats in order for all new Genos owners. Yes, a perfect keyboard for both the pro users or home enjoyment for all ages.

Not only the best arranger ever for my needs and as a semi-professional gigging musician/vocalist, but when setup as a Genos twinset in my home, the best dual keyboard organ/midi pedal setup I ever played. Also the best portable system I ever owned.

The Genos is significantly lighter and easier to carry and setup then my previous Tyros boards. Today's super light powered speakers are fantastic. Years ago I use to haul around a heavy Leslie cabinet and my home A100 Hammond organ weighed over 450 lbs. Technology and efficiency have come a long way, as well as value for the money. Really appreciate the Yamaha quality and support.

Regards, Marcus
