Hi all,
Well I have finally decided to get a Genos.
After many years playing Tyros 4 I purchased a SX900 in November last year(I use this on gigs), Then got the Geno's last Friday.
I was gonna keep my Tyros 4 as a back up keyboard but after playing the sx900 there is no comparison
Once I finally get used to Genos I may try it out at some gigs.
Really pleased that I took the big step up!
Would highly recommend this instrument.
Take care
John.

Hello John,
The Genos in my opinion is the best Yamaha keyboard so far. I know you will enjoy playing it.

Welcome to the "Genos Club", John!

I hope you continue to have fun and enjoy using Yamaha keyboards. :)

Best regards,
Chris
● Everyone kept saying "That won't work!" - Then someone came along who didn't know that, and - just did it.
● Never put the Manual too far away: There's more in it than you think! ;-)

John,
Enjoy the Genos!

I hate to bring up the whole SX900 thin piano sound discussion, but since you have both SX & Genos would you give us your first impression/thoughts on the difference between the SX900 grand piano and the Genos CFX grand piano? Major difference? Subtle difference? I am familiar playing the SX900 piano and MODX piano, but don't have access to a Genos to try.

You and I both have very recently welcomed Genos into our abodes, and it is a most welcomed new member of our families as you have described. I did own a Tyros 5 several years back, but had to put it up for adoption for several personal reasons. Now though, I am again in the pink and have just made Genos a part of my life like you have. This instrument is so advanced, so intuitive, so inspirational, it almost seems paranormal! Like so many others in this forum, all of us, whether home-based players, aspiring composers, and/or gigging musicians, have welcomed this grand creative instrument into our lives and to those around us blessed with hearing its sound. Have a ball with your Genos and tickle the ivory, er okay the plastic, to your heart's content!  ;D

Welcome to the Genos owner's club.

I have had one now for just over 2 months, and I have to say that it is AWESOME! ... Every day I find something else about it that makes me smile. You have many hours of fun ahead of you!
