Hello,

I just bought the DGX-670 and it looks promising for what i see (hear) now.
But of course as a newby i have a question about the "Fill-in".

Is it possible that the fill-in starts at the first count of the new beat ?
For example in a 4/4 i press Fill-in on the 3rd and the Fil-in will start at the 1 on the next beat?

Nobody ?
Is there a solution to play fill-ins after the beat is finished like when you pushed the Ending button instead it starts immediately?

Your already have the answer in your question.
A fill can't activate when the beat is ended.

This weekend i tested a lot and i programmed breaks on the aux pedal so i have my hands free.

I don't know what song break you are trying to simulate without hearing it but ,,,,

For an odd timing break I will stick a one measure length Break (but make it TWO measures long) into Ending slot ONE. You can then trigger the style to start back anytime before the end of the second measure. I trigger it using my left hand, don't use a pedal.

I just want to start a break or fill-in on the 1st and not immediately when i press the button.

You have 2 settings options as I recall.

You can set the keyboard to trigger as soon as you hit the Fill In.

Or you can set the keyboard to trigger at the at the end of the current measure.

I have my keyboard set to trigger when I press the Fill In button.

I thought it was only possible when you select OTL Link.
Thanks i will try it tonight.

Fill and break happen in real time on my CVP and I suspect the DGX is the same. Sometimes you might hardly notice the break if you press on the 3rd or 4th beat, depending on how it is programmed. It is still happening, but maybe only a single drum beat left to play!
I don't know of any setting that will change this - but maybe someone else will correct me.
With OTS you have the choice, real time or start of the next bar. But as far as I know not on break, fill.
My guess is that the reason is that on OTS most people will not want a sudden change in voice in the middle of a bar, that so7nds awful.
It's not hard to time pressing the button on beat one, missing by a fraction seldom is a big problem, or if you have two pedals on the DGX try setting one of them to activate the break by foot. Tapping you foot in time is a very natural thing, so it's not hard to learn to coordinate the pedal.
