I guess one needs to be pretty old to remember the group called The Cyrkle.
Those of us who do remember them mostly do because of their big hit RED RUBBER BALL.  It hit #2 on the Billboard US charts.

The group's only other hit only reached #16. It was TURN DOWN DAY.

The original record is pretty uptempo and I personally think the song has a nice enough chord structure to allow it to be played more leisurely as I've done here.

Did you know that they were managed by Brian Epstein, regularly opened for the Beatles and the funny spelling of their name was suggested by John Lennon. Bunch of useless information but it shows how in the 60s these performers like the Beatles, Simon and Garfunkel ( who co wrote the song), Stones and them, all knew each other socially well - it was like a little village. Even when they were from opposite sides of the  pond.
