Has anyone any knowledge where I may obtain or buy a hard cover for the Genos keyboard. Two indoor cats are not good for the top, and soft covers would not be suitable. I'm after a hard cover that would suit, with or with the speakers installed.Just a lift on lift off cover, nothing fancy, just practical,  Thank you for any ideas.

Hard cover cases (transit cases, flight cases) are in general not designed for in-situ operation. They are often made using aluminium and plywood with foam inserts or ABS.  (There are exceptions. I have an ABS (hard plastic) case for my mixer that does just what you want). However, for keyboards the issue is access to the headphone socket, inputs, outputs and ventilation. You don't indicate where you are based so recommending a German company may be inapproriate, but this case may need simple modifications to meet your needs. I've found Thomann to be an excellent company to deal with. Amazon have a few cases too that you could consider.

Thank you for your reply. I'm based in Australia, sounds like the excellent case you mentioned, made in Germany, would be a solution, somehow using the top half, I'm not sure. I would appreciate any other ideas, and could follow through with the case you mentioned in your reply, if it could be modified. Thank you. Ray,

Hi Ray, you are most welcome. Happy to help.

From what I can tell from the series of photos in the Thomann advert I linked to, the case does not split in half, unlike my mixer case. It appears to have hinges at the sides too.  The good news is the bottom half is shallower than the top so may avoid the need for drilling access holes for your inputs, outputs, mains cable and worrying about ventilation.

The alternative is, as has been suggested, to make a cover yourself. For woodwork and other projects I have a Triton workbench to which I can attach power tools like a cicular saw. The bench was designed and made in Australia. Must have had it 30 years! I would price-up materials before going down the DIY route. You may be lucky and find an offcut but Perspex is quite expensive these days.
