Hello there everyone,

Which of the following display adapters and cables are you guys using to show the keyboard screen onto a monitor, if any?

I want to see the keyboard display on my TV which is quite a few feet away from where the 920 will be placed.

Accell J130B-001B

BUFFALO GX-HDMI/U2

Diamond Multimedia BVU195

Diamond Multimedia BVU165

DIGITUS DA-70833

i-Tec USB2HDTRIO

Logitec LDE-WX015U

Plugable UGA-165

Hi, i hope Yamaha will add an HDMI display output on the next Yamaha PSR SX, as it's not so easy to find these adapters; old PSR was equiped with video output RCA and it was perfect! Yamaha you must make an effort as you've made on the genos 2; Merry Christmas to all, all the best Patrick  :)

So I have searched on Amazon for all of these adapters, and I cannot find a single one for sale!

Does anyone know if a standard USB to HDMI adapter would work?

Pulling my hair out here,

Steve

Hi Steve,

Only USB 2.0 display adapters will work, and it has to be compatible with the DisplayLink standard. USB 3.x display adapters do not work on PSR-SX models and Genos1.

Best regards,
Chris

I have a related question that I think Chris mighty be able to help me with.

I have the sx900 and I have an adaptor that I bought a couple of years ago and it works just fine
for using my vga monitor but it is a bit clunky laying around the keyboard when you are gigging regularly.

I recently saw a compact (16") usb monitor that would fit perfectly on my stand for viewing lyrics.
Since you're going from a usb keyboard out to a usb monitor in would that eliminate the need for the adaptor?

I'd appreciate any comments on this subject.

Thank you very much,   Allen

Hi Allen,

A USB display is a display/monitor that already has the USB display adapter integrated. The same applies here as described above, so it must use USB 2.0 and be compatible with the DisplayLink standard. And the power consumption must be under 500 mA, otherwise an additional power adapter would have to be used.

USB 3.x displays (USB 3.0, 3.1, 3.2) CANNOT be used.

Best regards,
Chris
