I currently us some smaller roland speakers connected  to the main speaker connections on my 920.   I added a Peavey KB100 piano speaker that I've had for 20 year just to see what the sound was like.  I added it to the subwoofer connection.  I'm  fairly pleased with the sound.

What sub do you have?
I have the 920 with the Yamaha KS-SW100. I was going to buy HS8s but there really is no need, sound is fab.And I would need to switch to the right sub, see below.

But if your sub is the HS8S FROM Yamaha, then the 8s or 7s would be great.

Note: My KS-SW100 is not compatible with HS speakers

Thank you Steve
Yes I got the Yamaha sub woofer like you.
So as per your answer, I don't need more speaker with this sub and anyway the Hs séries are not compatible with this sub
This is helping me a lot

The speakers (HS series) connect into the SUB (HS8S).Then the SUB connects into the keyboard. Doing it your way will cause crossover issues. This directly from Yamaha tech support in London. So you can do it your way, but it won't perform anywhere near its intended quality. Hope this help mate. Steve
