Hi
small question
should I move to the new psr sx920?
I already got the psr 975.
I use it at home only.
Would like to get opinions before a possible move.
Thank you
Guy

hello Guy,
Welcome to the forum, its always nice to have more members

to answer the question I would say if money is not an issue go for the newest keyboard and all the great technology that comes with it.

The sounds and styles are far superior to the 975.

The 975 is great for what's there and if that keeps you happy then stick with it.
But once you get your fingers on a brand new state of the art 920 there will be no looking back.  Nobody was ever sorry they upgraded

I'm on my sixth Yamaha from PSR 2100 in 2003 to the present day with Genos2 with stops along the way PSR910 Tyros 4 and 5 Genos and now the Gen2

I couldn't be happier. Regards and best of luck.

The SX920 will open up a whole new world in keyboard advancements for you when considered alongside your PSR975.  If you don't want to spend quite so much money a good condition used SX900 would also be worth considering.

Congrats with your new keyboard. Have fun! The SX920 is basically a baby Genos, with scat voices and S. art2 voices, so you can do more with the sounds, and it has a convenient touch screen. I have my 975 still, but I have a Genos1 as well.

You've now had your SX 920 keyboard for 6 months. Any thoughts on the upgrade from the PSR975? I'm in the same position as you were and would appreciate your feedback on the SX920, good and not so good.
Thanks
JB

Congratulations, Guy!

I'm sure you'll never regret it!

I am also a happy owner of a PSR-SX920 for four months now.

Ive upgraded to the Yamaha SX920 from my Yamaha S950
I wasnt sure at first if I wanted to part with my S950 as I was having good times creating and using it and  posting music to the tutorial etc, but after the SX920 and putting it through its paces I'm happy about the upgrade.
There are voice and style details in the Sx920 that I am hearing on it that the s950 didnt have even when tweaked.
Its a fun nice sounding keyboard for what it is; when you don't want to go for a Geneos 2
If you get one; go into the EQ and adjust it from stock to your liking to bring out more details.
I love the scat voices, more expressive nice styles and bluetooth also which the S950 didnt have.
Recommend external powered studio speakers and sub for even more enjoyment with it!,but the internal speakers on it sound good also for what they are too.

hi
never regret to move to 920
sounds are really better and I like the new way to use the screen by touchscreen instead of buttons.
also a lot of new features to help playing
so go to the 920, you will not regret
