Hello Eileen!!

With you back I know the forum is back too. It's so nice to see your post!  Hope you are enjoying that Genos2. I am still in love with mine.  Now that all this turmoil should be gone we can focus on the music once again. I can't believe I have to deal with another hurricane.......as if last weeks hurricane wasn't enough!!!   Grrrrr!!!!   -charley

Hi Eileen
Had an email yesterday and joined. Hope all is going well with you.
Yes , i was wondering why there was no posts since july and i was waiting for something to happen and had an email yesterday.
I have just put some sound proofing in my room and some bass corner traps. It has made a huge difference. Cuts out the booming in a room. Also getting to grips with the Arturia mk3 49 controller keyboard for multitracking in Cubase with vst. The Genos is hopeless at controlling faders etc in Cubase 13. Got the best of both worlds now.
I keep practicing hard each day and things are getting a lot easier today as the more you learn the more you relax.
I still wished that i started to learn as a youngster because when you start at 33 it becomes a mountain to climb. Now 73 i am at the wrong end but enjoying life. Well Eileen, with the music that is coming out in this day and age to we have no worries about what we do Lol!!
I think that when the word gets around more things on this forum should kickstart.

Hello Eileen,

it is a great pleasure to see you back here! This makes more "real" the reopening of our wonderful Forum.

I hope that in a short time many former members will come back.

Many thanks to Alex for the work he has done to renew the Forum, and many thanks to Joe Waters and Roger Brenizer for the unbelievable and precious job they did for so many years.

Hello Eileen,

I didn't know that the forum was back again.
What a surprise !
Before the "old" was closed I logged into it every day !
Absolutely the best forum on internet in my opinion for us Yamaha keyboardists.
I also have a new Genos2 now, so I look forward to follow all incoming post here.

Hello Eileen,

It's great to know the forum and especially you are back. I am so pleased You have helped me for so many years - probably over 15 years or more with my various keyboards on the forum. Unfortunately I lost all my past posts twice now, my original user name was Del123 but I so glad to be back on this site albeit a new name.

I upgraded from my Genos to Genos 2 two weeks ago, and I am just about to load in all the expansion packs. I noticed after I registered my G2, that I can download a bonus playlist but I thought there were 1600 playlists rather than 1000! Do I have to use the YEM utility to load the playlist in?

With regards
Darren

EileenL

Hello Darren,
Just download the playlists onto a Formatted USB stick. This stick must always register as USB1. Now you just press the playlist button and go to USB1 and select what playlist you want to use. Select a song and press playlist again and it will load in for you.

Hi Eileen,

Thank you so much for your help! I can't wait to load the playlist in!

Thanks

Hi Eileen,

Yes, I am still really having a lot of fun on my G2 and also SX920, both are fabulous keyboards. They are very addictive and makes you just want to play for hours, making new discoveries along the way each time :)

All the best :)
