I would appreciate if anyone can help. For some reason I can no longer change registrations ( 1 to 10) using a foot pedal. This was working a few months ago. I've tried a different foot pedal also checked the polarity of the pedal but pressing the pedal does nothing. The remaining foot pedals ( Volume and Sustain) working OK. I would like to be able to increase registrations in all banks as it was set previously.

This is done with Registration Sequence. Accessible from the Menu screen (I have it on an Assignable button), it lets you do one of two things:

If you don't insert a specific sequence of registrations, it will by default step through them from 1 to 10 (or however many you've set. Or you can set a specific sequence like 1,2,3,1,4,5,2,6 or whatever and it will step through them. It can then either stop, go back to the first registration in the sequence or load in the next registration bank and start stepping through that.

You do have to enable the Registration Sequence (top left on the screen) and assign a pedal to stop forward (+) through them. You don't really need to assign a pedal to step backwards (-). I assign a couple of Assignables to + and - if I should need them.

Whichever pedal you choose to assign will now do the task, remember that it won't now do anything that you'd assigned in a registration - fill in, sustain or whatever. But you do have another pedal free so choose the function wisely!

Lastly, when you've programmed a sequence, remember that it is part of the registration bank, so you must save it!

If things were previously working, perhaps you simply haven't enabled the Registration Sequence?
It's not what you play, it's not how you play. It's the fact that you're playing that counts.

Hi Mike,

While I was writing my post, Andy already replied. I'll still post my notes on the problem you mentioned below: ;)

I suspect you were using the "Registration Sequence" function to step through the registrations (1-10). This function may have been accidentally disabled.

Please go to "Menu > Regist Sequence" and make sure this function is set to "On." Also, check that the desired pedal (1, 2, or 3) is enabled for "Pedal Control > Regist +." Important: If you want to use the other two pedals for "normal" functions (assigned in the Assignable display), "Regist -" must not be assigned to any of the pedals. So, if one of the pedal buttons is lit green, tap it to deactivate it.

Finally, close the Regist Sequence display (press the EXIT button or touch the X icon) to save the settings.

P.S.
Detailed information on the Registration Sequence function can be found in the Genos Reference Manual starting on page 109. If necessary, you can download the latest version of the Reference Manual here:

Many Thanks to both Andys and Overrover for your comprehensive replies. It's 11 pm here, nearly bedtime but I look forward to trying out the changes first thing tomorrow .
