Half bar fill

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to get the Half Bar Fill function to work but it does nothing.
 
I'm using a 4/4 style from Yamaha. My score has a single 2/4 bar in it. I assigned the Half Bar Fill function to a foot switch. I play the style in Variation A with Auto Fill In turned on. I play the style, press the pedal to turn on the Half Bar Fill function, press Variation B but the style fills a complete 4/4 duration. I thought it should create a 2/4 duration and then revert to 4/4.

What am I doing wrong? Thanks...

Okay, I found my error. The manual reads, "While the pedal is pressed, the "Half bar fill-in" function is turned on and
changing sections of a Style at the first beat of the current section starts the
next section from the middle with an automatic fill-in."

I was pressing the pedal BUT not holding it down. My bad. Thanks anyway, folks 😳. I've had too many birthdays 🤣.

Yes.

You were just turning on and off the function. You still must to press the fill in  at the begging for the bar to have a half bar fill in.
