I am the proud new owner of a Yamaha PSR-240, and have been exploring its features. My Roland midi-usb cable just came and I'm excited about doing a lot with that. I've set up a DAW on a free computer I got off Buy Nothing. I'm running Ardour on antiX Linux. The hardware is an HP Pavilion i5 6400T @ 2.20GHz all-in-one with 16GB ram and a 1TB HD.

There is also an old EEEPC laptop Intel Atom (also free) running 32 bit antiX, which will be a mobile setup for sampling, etc. It had XP on it before I wiped it.

ChatGPTo3 is my studio production assistant, and I get troubleshooting advice on setting things up or double checking my work. I get suggestions for tempo, styles, and voices to dial in a sound I'm looking for, like covering something by Devo.

I will post photos of my set up. I am a real noob at this, but I have been building a library of musical instruments for years, which will all be fun to sample.

I'm getting great joy from have the ability to instantly fire up a session to see how I like the sound. Part of my creative process is to make it effortless by making the tools always available for instant capture of inspiration before it is lost. This includes becoming more comfortable with capturing video of myself to save song ideas. It's great fun!

● Everyone kept saying "That won't work!" - Then someone came along who didn't know that, and - just did it.
● Never put the Manual too far away: There's more in it than you think! ;-)
