I don't know this piece but here is the best way to learn how to find suitable styles for any song.
Go into the settings for the keyboard and set the keyboard accompaniment to not change tempo when style is changed.
Then select a style and tap in the tempo you expect to play the song. Play a couple of the first chords to start the accompaniment while humming the song in your head. Without stopping the style, select another style and repeat. This way you can scroll thru dozens of styles in minutes, narrowing it down to best candidates.
With experience you will soon be able to select only the most likely candidates eg you are not going to try a rock style for a simple ballad. And this way you can find a good style or even several possibles very quickly.

Hi Ireen.

There is a perfect style at Doo in Andre Rieu version.

Also a wonderful version /video at YT with A.R.

Hello Ireen
The advice given by Mikf is good. It's how I choose which song fits with what style. If you don't want
to spend 8 Euros for the specific style from the German website you could try styles for Mull of Kintyre.

The tempo is 106 BPM which seems a bit fast but it's easy to change tempo.

The styles are Guitar Serenade;  Highland Walz;  Scottish Walz. In the video it looks
like Andre is conducting in 3/4 time.  Check the multi pads on your keyboard for arpeggio Strings.

These 3 styles seem to be available for most Yamaha keyboards.

Good luck

According to the sheet music I've seen, Highland Cathedral is in 4/4, not 3/4 (waltz).

At G2 there is a style that can be used, at least Leigh W did use it as basis to edit, in Movie&Show / ActionAnthem, tempo 107.
Don't know if it's something similiar at Ireene's keyboard.

Cheers & Happy Playing. 🍷 🎶🎵

Although I am Scottish I had surprisingly never heard of this piece, but in looking it up I realize that maybe because it is actually written in Germany by a couple of German composers.
It is indeed in 4/4, and it seems a nice but very simple repetitive melody that could sit well on any simple 4/4 ballad style. But have to admit the video with a lady piper in full ball gown seemed a bit schmaltzy to me. The man in the audience who kept being shown wiping away tears was probably not emotional because of the beauty of the tune, but a Scottish musician in denial!
One of the errors made by beginners on the arrangers, is to think there is some perfect style for a tune that will make their playing sound much better. But unless you are a cover band trying to reproduce well known pop songs, that is really not necessary. Most tunes sound good when you play them good, and the 'perfect'style will not save it if is played badly.

You are correct, my mistake. SCRIBD shows a time signature of  4/4 .

Sincere apologies for my error Ireen. Consequently, Sir Paul McCartney's pastiche of traditional Scottish music, Mull of Kintyre complete with bagpipes in ¾ time is inappropriate.

Leigh Wilbraham in his video on using Playlists has the song on one of his performance lists.

I  learn something new about myself every day. And about this tune, which I now read is popular at weddings and was mooted as a potential new National Anthem for Scotland.

There is a general piece software, called StyleFinder, that runs on the keyboard to help you find the appropriate style for a song based on its musical features:

Not sure I understand. If ending 1 is good why not just use it, why change ending 2.

But you can of course do almost anything with styles. And you can do it on the keyboard. The simplest thing is just a 'cut and paste' with other sections, including endings. You find an ending you like on another style and swap out the one you don't. Then save the combination as a new style with the new ending.
Or you can modify or even completely create your own sections, including intros and endings. But there is a big learning curve with doing this - the cut and paste of full sections being at the easiest end and full creation being really quite difficult and time consuming. Very, very few arranger players, even the very experienced musicians get in any deeper than the 'cut and paste' approach. Full intro/ending creation or extensive modification is a job for specialists with access to software tools and good systems knowledge as well as musical expertise.
If you really can't find a suitable ending for song, then maybe what you need to think about is learning to play your own intros and endings, rather than using the canned ones. That's a much better direction for most than delving deep into style creation to create endings.
