Backup Date

On my SX-900 I had a current backup file (BUP) saved to a USB stick dated 1/1/2019 (10 MB)
Today I backed up the keyboard to the same USB Stick. Keyboard asked if I wanted to replace the current backup, I said YES.
The new backup is also dated 1/1/2019, (this time 20MB). Because of the file size difference, I assume it's the new backup, but why would the date be the same? In fact I know I have updated after 1/1/2019 more than once. Same date though making it difficult to know when I last updated

I don't have a SX900, however unless you have the keyboard permanently connected to the internet the keyboard has no way of  knowing or keeping an upto date time. So what you are seeing is the default date. You will need to setup the time/date immediately before you backup or set up the meta date once on the USB stick.

Thanks Bill,
That makes sense, and I should have known that. Since Windows won't easily allow changing file dates, I downloaded a small program that makes it quick and easy. Guets are not allowed to view links. In order to access the links, please Register or Login

I always rename the backup file (or the backup folder in case I backup my registrations) to include month and year as part of the filename or foldername. In this way, I can see the date info on the keyboard.
