Hello guys.

I was wondering if someone have got already that kind of list of measurement and default tempo for all styles which we can play on GENOS2, including old and not officialy "converted" styles for old Yamaha keyboards.

I want to do something like that
, while we can't see measurement of style when we choose one. After we choose one, we have two (and a half...) option: start this style and hear in what measurement it is, or go to main page and read it. It is super uncomfortable, not mentioning that while we have such a lot of them on the GENOS2 itself, there are also Yamaha Packs! Yes, sometimes style name tell us about that, but not every style has measurement in the name or is obviously known in what measurement it should be.

I just want to know which of them take to consideration, when I am going to play a piece, and I really want to do it quicker and more effective than I am doing it now.

Maybe someone got at least a list in excel file all of the factory styles on GENOS2? It makes my work a little easier.

Please spread this message. When I'm done, I'll share my work with you all. It will improve our music life and brings even more joy of playing GENOS2.

Cheers!

Hello,

Do a search on the little Lacobo software for Windows " StyleFinder " , it allows you to make very precise searches too. It uses the same presentation and structure as the Genos and Genos2 Styles ...

I guess it's up to you what you like to know, and how you spend your time, but I have to question if you are thinking about this the right way. It strikes me as a bit of make work with little practical purpose.
The default tempo of a style is one of the least important parameters you need to know since the poster will typically set the tempo for a song, regardless of the default. And in any case players seldom set that based on a number. In fact if I throw a tempo number at someone it probably doesn't mean a lot till they hear it in context. If I am searching for a style I tap the tempo I want to play at, then scroll the styles.
Think about a band playing - nobody says we are going to play this at 90 bpm. Someone beats you in.

Yes, tempo is the less important information, while we are choosing style. So even more, I don't know why Yamaha get us the tempo visible and in the same time signature is not. Maybe sometimes info about tempo give us some idea how fast or slow is supposed to be. Sure, almost everything is good, if we know we are doing, but while we can experiment with changing tempo, measurement is something completely different. We can play odd measurements with 3/4 signature, but it makes no sense... When I am searching 6-8 or 12-8 style signature, I really don't remember where all of them are on my Genos 2, especially with several packs expansions. It is waste of time searching them every time to finally realize, that there was that missed one, which fits that piece better...
