For everyone information, if I am not wrong, there is 71 packs avaialvble (maybe even more) for GENOS2/1/S900, which are working!

Some of them are official and converted for GENOS2, some not. But GENOS2 has also a legacy voices from previous keyboards, so there shouldn't be any major problem with them. Furthermore, when needed we have got dedicated voices within these packs. There is some tweaks needed in YEM, to uncheck doubling voices, to make a free space of memory for other packs, but in this way we could install more of them on our instruments.

For me this is 63 installed packs (including 3 of them not from Yamaha; While these 3 has almost 1,5GB (!), I think that if someone wish to install only these from Yamaha, it could be done)! All of them works perfectly! We must take some tweaks, but it is possible.
I tweak sometimes a percussion for some of the styles to suit my preferences more, while we must make some compromisses with finite ROM memory. Percussions nad drum kits weight quite a lot, so consider not to install every drum kit, percussion or voice from these packs. They can be replaced by other, similar drum kits or percussion. Styles don't weight much, so all can be installed.

I hope that my thoughts was clearly enough in this post. I am a little sleepy, while I was tweaking these packs all the night. But I am also happy that everything works better than I thought!

Enjoy to discover new/old styles and voices for Yamaha instruments!

Regardless of the installation method, USB (ppi) or YEM (ppf), some Playlist songs does not work, only pop-up
"File not found, or file name is inappropriate.". After installation, I get the error code SRJSF (1).
Does anyone have any ideas?

I have the same problem .
Maybe it is that I have some older Expansion Packs which were
not updated to Genos2 .

Hi Stijn

This pack is NOT new, it's the same old playlists that you posted on here many months ago.

I think you were caught out by Yamaha's quirky filing system as I was some months ago. It would appear that whenever Yamaha do some maintenance on the server or refresh the Web site, the Date is automatically changed. This gives the false impression that it is New.

You will need to check your filing structure, in other words are your folder locations as setup by Yamaha.  The registrations work because they all relate to preset style which are in fixed locations.  Have a look at one of the playlists in a text viewer to find out where the playlists are expecting the registrations to be.

I downloaded the new expansion pack.  Just to clarify: it contains the same Genos2 bonus playlist with about 1600 entries (and the associated registration files) that we were given to download when we registered our instrument. However, these files are now in the expansion memory and will always be properly linked. Previously, you had to put the bonus playlist and all its registrations in the root folder of your USB1 for the links to work properly.  The other part of the download are registrations that demo various features, including single voices.  I think that this does not provide much new information to anyone who has already learned the Genos2 features.  I am still hoping for a new firmware upgrade with some new features (as well as allowing style dynamics control to be saved in the registration memory).
