Genos 2 Box Contents

Hello Everyone,

When I unboxed the unit, I noticed that it didn't come with a USB flash stick and FC5 footswitch. I'm not sure if it's per country/region. A friend of a friend got his Genos 1 back in 2018 and he confirmed that it came with a transparent glassy USB flash stick with word "Genos" written on it and an FC5 footswitch.

My question, why did Yamaha included free accessories in their old predecessor unit and not in the successor? Can you please confirm if you receive these free items in the box with your Genos 2?

BTW, I totally understand that these items are dirt cheap so I'm not talking about the financial side of it. Rather, I'm talking about the principle side of it. Why would a vendor include free accessories in their old product but not including them in their newer product? I just find it odd a bit !

It's written in the beginning of Owner's Manual what accessories Yamaha includes. If there's more than written in Manual, then that entirely sellers decision (because of promotion, reducing the stock, etc.).

Oh thanks! I didn't read the manual honestly (Not yet I mean). You're right, it's a seller's game. I got back to the shop I purchased it from and they confirmed that they don't provide these in the box.

I did not receive anything extra with my Genos in 2018.

The extras must have been provided by the seller, not Yamaha.

Yes, I got the picture now. I thought it's a standard from the company to include these minor accessories with every package but it turned out to be a more of a seller thing. No big deal! I ordered an FC5 and FC4A to use as assignable for switching between reg. memory buttons and other functions. Learning curve is obviously steep in Genos

Well mine did not come with the music holder brackets! Dealing with the distributor now.

I almost threw the music holder brackets away. I'm in the USA, and I thought they were European power adapters.

Haha tell me about it, I threw tons of small stuff just to discover later that I needed them. Then I learned to keep everything in my drawer in case I need them later
