I have been active on this forum for years and have many times tried  unsucessfuly to high light a sentence or two in a post  that a member has put up.  For example ----yesterday Bogdan H   replied to a post which I had put up in STYLES GLOBAL QUESTIONS  regarding how to change a voice and I tried to quote a portion of it  , and made a complete mess of it. I am hoping that someone might put up a step by step procedure for quoting something a member has written.

To do this I will highlight the text I want to quote, now there will be a new option that says "QUOTE SELECTED TEXT". Clicking this will open a reply with the highlighted text quoted. This is how I quoted your text above.

Or sometimes I will highlight the text I want to quote, and (left mouse click or CtrlC) Copy it . Then in the reply box I can press the 'Quote' icon (looks like a speech bubble) and (left mouse click or CtrlV) Paste my copied text into the code it gives me. Doing the quotes this way won't include the original posters name though, so if that's important it's something to watch out for as they might be notified of your post.

Sorry, just forgot to run through the translator again...

Hello,

It is at the bottom right of each message => "Quote" ... place yourself on the message to be Copied/Quoted ...
Delete only the phases that are not in line with your reply. Do not touch the [BORNE] at the beginning and end of the message imported into the text zone.

The simple way is to hit the quote button under their post instead of the reply button. This will automatically put their quote in your reply box where you can then add your own comments. The only thing about this method is that it always uses their complete post as a quote and this is seldom necessary if it is a long detailed post you are replying to.  You typically only want a very short quote because that is enough to make it clear what you are replying to, rather than make the reader read through a long post. So you will then have to edit down the quote. You can do this by simply deleting words inside the quote. But take care when doing this not to delete the quote parameters which are at the beginning and end of the selected passage.
