Good news from Yamaha,
Yamaha have released a set of Standard styles collection to the Genos2. This pack to contain 20 styles and 40 registration memories includes in a set of playlists. Some style that have mutation of other keyboard (Clavinova CVP especially) have Std 8Beat, Std Rock, and Std Waltz to be upgraded and not longer used Clavinova based styles, instead it they are to use brand new tuned intros/variations/endings, specifically tuned for the Genos2.

(I did not upgrade to Genos2 yet, still to use PSR-S775, only style file can be recognized, but rgt are not recognized since it only compatible within Genos2😅😅😅😅😅😆😅 budget not too enough to buy Genos2)

Dear DGX Keyboard,

very interesting item. I found a demo of some of those Styles: they are quite simple and so very useful. here is the link to the Demo:

Unfortunately I was not able to get to the download area, as for the link you provided.

It would be very useful if someone could provide the Styles of this set.

Ciao

Hi Angelo,

If you have registered your Genos2 at Yamaha Europe, you can download the "Standard Styles for Genos2" for free in your Yamaha account.

Alternatively, you can use this link:  :)
>>> Guets are not allowed to view links. In order to access the links, please Register or Login

The List of Contents is here:
>>> Guets are not allowed to view links. In order to access the links, please Register or Login

The download contains 20 Styles, 40 Registration Banks (.rgt) and one Playlist file (.tsv). In order for the Playlist and Registrations to work, the unpacked folder must be copied to the root directory of the USB stick used according to the instructions in the included ReadMe.txt file. Of course, the Registrations and Styles can also be called up directly, i.e. without using the Playlist.

Have fun!

Best regards,
Chris

But, the StdWaltz2 that i'd like because it not require to remap any drum track because hi-hat and other sound same as StandardKit1. I try to revoice incompatible drums into [Drums] RealDrums and [SFX] PopLatinKit, incompatible bass but properly sound into MegaVoice VintageFlat, piano sound into Live!PopGrand, strings sound into MegaVoice LargeStrings, and incompatible E.Guitar voice into MegaVoice SingleCoil.
It's sounds well in PSR-S775 since new StdWaltz not require to remap drum track especially hi-hat maps.

thank to Chris link I downloaded the Standard set and tested on my Genos1.

It is very nice and interesting, mainly because of its simplicity, that offers a wide range of songs  that can be played.

It needs minor/medium tweaking to sound perfect on Genos1 (some accompaniment Voices are missing; volume balance requires small adjustments, OTS could be better, ecc.). I'm going to work on this purpose, and as usual I'll make available the modified Styles for the Forum members benefits.

Thank you Angelo,
I love all the files that you have shared to the Forum members in the past, and can't wait to try out your conversions of this pack of styles on my Genos 1.
Thanks for all you do.

Hello Again!

Just played all of these on Genos2. Yamaha got it right this time. Excellent styles! These take full advantage of Genos2's exclusive voices in both the style and OTS. Many of the intros and ending are really good. Sounds like someone familiar with Genos2's voices and effects had their hand in this. Top Notch Yamaha!!!  -charley

Yes a great set of styles. I extracted the styles and saved them as a file for the styles only in user drive, as well as the playlist/registration/style file on USB1'

Hi Dermot,

Which "style program" are you talking about?

For me, the link above for the "Genos2 Standard Styles Collection" download works perfectly (it's the same link twice).

If it still doesn't work for you, I recommend clearing your browser cookies or using a different browser.

Chris

Dear Dermot,

here is what I (and other members) did, successfully:

-click on the link provided by Overover (you will see the page of Box cloud)
-in the top/right part of that page you will see a "button" with the icon of an arrow;
-click on the arrow icon: another window will pop up, asking where in your hard disk you like to save the folder;
-once you got the folder where you want to save the files, press "Save", and the download (of the complete folder containing the files) will start;
-once the download is completed, go to the folder where you have downloaded, and unzip the downloaded folder: you will have all the files ready to be used.

That's it.

Thanks so much for attempting to assist me.

However, after further research, it appears that in order to work with the Box website where the Standard Styles appear to reside, one has to be a paying member. I talked with customer support and they mention a "free trial". However, if I attempt to sign into any of the "free trials" it simply will not respond, same thing when I attempt to sign up as an individual. It's really not worth paying $15 per month just to obtain this one set of styles. Disappointing but it apparently not working for me.

I've been using computers heavily for close to 40 years and something like has rarely happened, a bit frustrating.

Again my thanks

Hi @diarmot,

For your information: I just replaced the download links for the "Standard Style Collection for Genos2" above (in the first and third post) with the official Yamaha download link and also added a link for the "List of Contents" PDF.

Best regards,
Chris
