How to hold the style tempo the same?

With my S950 I could audition styles and keep the tempo the same for each one, if I selected the new style name with out stopping the first style.

With the SX920 the style's tempo is changing the tempo of style (faster or slower to the style's default). Is there a way to lock the tempo and hold it as I test each new style?

Hello Drake

On Genos: Menu => Style Setting =>Change Behavior=> Tempo => "Lock".

Remember to remove the function, there is also an access via Direct Access to Style Setting.

Hi Drake,

In addition to Patrick's comments:

Please go to "Menu > Style Setting > Change Behavior > Tempo" and set "Hold" there. This is the behavior you are used to from your S750 (Style Tempo is only retained if you select a different style while the accompaniment is playing).

This setting can then always be retained. To save the current setting in the System Setup, please close the Style Setting display (press EXIT button or touch the X icon).

Alternatively, you can set "Lock" here, then the current tempo will be maintained during a style change even if the accompaniment is stopped. However, this setting ("Lock") should be changed to "Hold" or "Reset" after the search for a suitable style with locked tempo has been completed.

Best regards,
Chris
● Everyone kept saying "That won't work!" - Then someone came along who didn't know that, and - just did it.

Thanks Pat & Chris for the style setting tips.  I was not aware of this feature.  It will be very useful when looking for a new style at a specific BPM to create a new registration by allowing you to move from one style to another without having to keep adjusting the BPM.
