Where are the rest of the songs?

First of all, just want to say glad that PSR Tutorial forum is back!  It was a case of not realizing how much you may miss something until it's gone, and I'm glad it's back up.  Thank you to everyone who made it possible.

Now, I'm just wondering where the other songs are on this forum of "Songs Played by Forum Members" section, as all I see are Christmas songs posted throughout several years.  In the past, the Christmas songs got their own section and was clearly labeled.  This section is just labeled as songs by forum members, not specifically Christmas songs.  Am I missing something or doing something wrong?

Okay, but what I was asking is, where are the other songs -- the NON-Christmas songs that have been posted in the "Songs Played by Forum Members" section.  But I think I figured it out -- It was the case that these songs would auto-delete after 30 days.  It has been more than 30 days since the forum was last up, so the old posts are just no longer available.

One thing I do wonder -- Should these sections, where we post songs we play, be only accessible to logged in users?  That's they way it was before, and I only say this due to copyright concerns.  As far as I understand copyright laws, at least in the US,  is that if a person records and publishes previously copyrighted material without permission from the copyright holder, then that is a violation -- even if it is their own playing and recording of the song, even if the person posting the recording gives credit to the original author, and even if no money changes hands.  Now, I don't know how much that is enforced, and I realize that it happens all the time -- especially on sites like YouTube, where I can find a recording of almost any song I want, and many are not official videos from the author -- and with those videos, many are not just cover-played recordings, but instead the actual song recorded by the original artist.

I just figured that the original forum kept these songs only visible to logged-in users to make it more private, less visible to anyone who happened to stumble onto this website, and more like just playing music at a private party.

But to be clear, I am not a lawyer and do not fully understand the aspects of copyright law.  I'd love to post videos of cover songs on YouTube -- like about a zillion other people do -- but being overly cautious, I avoid it.

I'd appreciate any input on this subject.

You may post any cover song you want at YouTube as their is a legal agreement between YouTube and the Artist. Within 10 minutes of you uploading your cover song, YouTube will either tell you there is "NO Copyright infringement" or "The Content ID claim on your video doesn't affect your channel. This is not a copyright strike."

The only covers that I know will cause a strike would be any cover of an "EAGLES" band song. But only Eagles songs written by 2 of the bands members. Sorry, I don't recall the 2 members names (not a fan of the Eagles).

Garth Brooks used to ban Clips of him singing on YouTube. He has since "seen the light" and that is no longer the case.

You'll have no problem posting your videos at YouTube and adding a link here to them.
