Updating expansion packs - looking for certain voices

I'm just about to re-do the expansion packs in my Genos.

I was watching a YT video today and I spotted an expansion voice that would come in very handy. It's called simply Soft Trumpet and I guess it's an SA or SA2 voice. Can anyone tell me which pack it's in please. I've downloaded quite a few that will be useful but I can't find any listings of the voices that are in the packs.

Thanks
Andy
It's not what you play, it's not how you play. It's the fact that you're playing that counts.

Hi Andy,

"SoftTrumpet" is an S.Art2 Genos(1/2) Preset Voice. It is in the "Brass" folder and also (with a different Voice Number) in the "EnsemblePart" folder.

Best regards,
Chris
● Everyone kept saying "That won't work!" - Then someone came along who didn't know that, and - just did it.
● Never put the Manual too far away: There's more in it than you think! ;-)

Hi Andy —

What is the link to the Youtube video? I'll take a look and make a guess. :)

Take care — pj

@overover. Thanks. This one's in a video about expansion voices, so I guess it's a different one?

@pjd The video's very long and the voice name is only in shot for a second or two. It would be too much of an ask for you to do that, but thanks!

Hi Andy --

I did take a quick browse through the video. Wow, that demonstrator could play and really skip around. I never found "Soft Trumpet".

If the shot is during the last 10 minutes or so, they were in the Fiesta Caliente Vol 2. pack. There are are content listings for both volumes:

Unfortunately, neither had a "Soft Trumpet" voice.

Hope this helps -- pj

Thanks for doing that pj!

I'll keep looking! Trevor, the guy who did the demo, is very good at what he does, regardless of the instrument he's sat at. I don't know him that well but his partner in crime behind the camera is a friend. I might just ask them what packs they installed.

Thanks again

2 things:

are you sure you don't mean Mellow Trombone from the superior pack?

And if you are sure it was soft trumpet, just because he's using an expansion pack style doesn't mean the right voice is... a lot of styles still use built in sounds, so the one Chris mentioned could very likely be the same soft trumpet you mean? It would help if you could give a timestamp of the exact second you're saying it's onscreen, as we could then tell you which it is,

cheers,

Mark

I Have all the Yamaha packs for Genos and have gone through them all on my YEM.
There is no Warm Trumpet on any pack.
How ever there is a Soft Trumpet SA2 on Genos2 on Page nine of brass. I think this is the one you heard.

Thanks for all the replies! I'll spin through the video one more time and look again.

Right now, I'm just figuring out the best packs to install. At the moment I've put these into YEM, in preparation for creating an install pack.

Church&Christmas, V2 Superior, Vintage Keys, Euro and US Organ, Fiesta Caliente 1 and 2, Best of Europe, Celtic Genos, Country Music, Entertainer 2016, Latin Genos and SA2 Female Vocals

That should be a good spread, but if anyone's got suggestions of packs that have a few stunners in them, please let me know, Thanks.

The choir and vocal pack are good and have a couple of nice Carpenter type styles.
