Thanks your help in advance I had Genos1 and I had created my YEM with Packs but now I bought Genos2 and would like to transfer the packs into new but it is not working for me so far I have tried the following:

copy the instrument information and pasted with the old one in target folder but it did not work all my pack showing Unknown.
I tried to look for my old files in usb but I could not find it anywhere.

Please guide me step by step how to setup new YEM with Old Packs with new genos2 Instrument info file. Thanks

Hi rozinalalani1954,

It is simply impossible to install protected packs (.cpf) created for a different/earlier model on the Genos2. Either you find a version (.cpf/.ppf) of your packs previously used with Genos1 that has already been converted/adapted for Genos2, or you may find an earlier PPF (.ppf) version. Unfortunately, these are the only options.

If you have used third-party protected packs (.cpf) with the Genos1, you must ask the pack manufacturer to create a Genos2 version of the pack in question (based on the Instrument Info file of your Genos2). Depending on the pack manufacturer, such a pack upgrade is free, or you can buy it at a discount, or, in the worst case, you have to buy it again at full price.

What packs are you talking about specifically in your case (for which you have not yet been able to find a Genos2 version)?

Best regards,
Chris

Hi rozinalalani1954,

If you have non-protected packs in your previous YEM, you can also install them on the Genos2, even if you no longer have the corresponding PPF (.ppf) pack files. Simply install the current YEM version 2.10.0. Your previous pack data will be retained.

However, I recommend that you first export the non-protected packs, for which you no longer have a pack project file, as .ppf files (one by one) before updating the YEM.

If the Genos2 is connected to your local WLAN (WiFi) (in "Infrastructure Mode"), to which your computer is also connected, Genos2 should automatically be displayed in the YEM as a (new) Install Target. The pack installation is then carried out via the "Send to Instrument" button.

If you are not using the WLAN method, export the Genos2 Instrument Info file (.n27) under "Menu > Expansion" to a USB stick and then import this file into the current YEM as an Install Target (click on the "+" icon next to "Install Target").

Best regards,
Chris

New Updates!
I just found my ppl & cpi data files from Genos 1 now I seek your advise please give me step by step how to input this information in my GENOS 2 with new Instrumental info file. Thanks guys for helping me in this matter.

Genos2 no longer loads CPF files Only PPF. You have to use the converted ones to load into YEM and then make an install pack to load into Genos2 just as you did with Genos1.
